We have a large country house with organic gardens for family consumption only. The entire property is surrounded by mountains. We are located in the Elqui Valley, 25 kilometres from the city of La Serena and 45 kilometres from Vicuña, in the Elqui Valley. We have a room available in the house and a good place to camp if you prefer. Meals are served with the family when we are at home and we are open to different diets. We usually eat a vegetarian menu, but there is no problem if there is meat from time to time. Homemade bread and simple but nutritious meals are guaranteed. We are a married couple, our daughter and her family live in France, and our son and his family live in Germany. We are both retired. We are not farmers, but we learn every day by trying to follow the traditions of our land. Experience in wwoofing is valued, and if you have knowledge of organic farming, you are welcome. Tasks will depend on the season, but most will consist of weeding, harvesting, planting seeds, watering, pruning, and general gardening. We prefer volunteers to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks. We do not accept smokers or drinkers of any kind. We do not have Wi-Fi at home, so everyone must provide their own connection. We do not speak English, but we are willing to learn.
