We are a community of neighbors who share a lifestyle more connected to nature and its contemplation along with a search for general autonomy. In each of our spaces, agriculture is developed that pursues the principles of natural, regenerative and syntropic agriculture. Currently, we have raspberry orchards, larger fruit trees, buckwheat, corn, beans, potatoes, among others. In addition, we are in the construction phase of houses, workshops and warehouses in the bioconstruction line. We expect help in soil preparation, preparation and application of bioinbuts, planting, transplanting, watering, weeding, harvesting and preparing processed products (jams, delicacies, pestos, etc.), clay construction, garden and building design , workshop training. To receive volunteers, there is room accommodation in some of our houses, a camping area with a dry toilet and shower, bathroom, kitchen, wood heating and electricity. They are expected to have the will to learn, proactivity, honesty, responsibility, empathy and adaptation to schedules. Our diet is varied and we respect particular trends. Our jobs are from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, for WWWoofers a maximum of 6 hours of work. Sometimes the wwofer may need to be cooked, without losing the ingredients for this. In the surrounding area there are rivers and hot springs, forests, fishing, lagoons, a public swimming pool and traditional festivals in summer. To get there you can take a bus to the city of Longaví where we could go to meet them or you can get directly to our space via local buses. On our farm all political, religious and food positions are respected. Organic methods: bio-inputs Internet access available

Our stay at El Carmen was a very inspiring experience. It was great to see what Felipe and the other neighbors have built here. Felipe was a very welcoming host and made us feel as a part of the community immediately. We enjoyed the environment of sharing and taking care of each other. All the (plentiful and nutritious) meals were shared with the neighborhood. During our stay we helped to build a tree nursery, made firewood, prepared meals, felled trees and played a lot with the lovely dog Boldo :D There were no strict plans for working, so there was space for our own ideas and wishes. We also felt like we had enough downtime when we needed it. Our stay was only a week, and we wished we could have stayed longer. We can highly recommend the place for motivated volunteers, who want to experience the rural alternative life in Chile!

My stay with Felipe and the other people living in El Carmen was beyond my wildest expectations. They are all so loving and kind and helpful and respectful. The work is diverse and fun and included both things like cutting grass and prepare empanadas like a true Chilean. I felt like I was a natural part of their life and would love to come back again. The location is also very beautiful.
